Silver Medal Girl!!

Miss Delannie won the silver medal at her very first skating competition!! She had a wonderful time and we are so proud of her. She worked very hard and really had fun!

We had another fun afternoon today after school. We went out to the Everglades because we love to watch the wildlife and to watch folk fishing. Papa loves to watch the boats coming and going! Of course, the most fun is watching my two WACKOS!!!

First Lost Tooth!!

Delannie lost her first tooth! The tooth fairy was very generous and gave her $5 because she is such a good girl.

Chinese New Year Festival

This is our favorite festival. We go every year. It is down in Miami and sponsored by the Chinese Cultural Foundation in Miami. The acrobats and drummers come down from Epcot at

Disney and perform every year. The girls all wear their Chinese silks and the food is AMAZING!!!

Chinese New Year FCC picnic

We had a great day at our FCC picnic on Chinese New Year. The girls are always so happy to see their buddies. I always think it is so important for them to see families that look like ours.

January on the beach!

Yep, it is mid-January and the rest of the country is freezing their chimichangas off, but here, we are going to the beach!! We spent our Martin Luther King Day off taking a ride in the boat over to the beach.

We go to the Intercoastal and through Port Everglades to an old whiskey-running area called Whiskey River. They have found old sites with stills, bottles and other stuff left over from the prohibition days. Now, we just have FUN there!!

Takes us about an hour by boat, since we have to travel at idle speed most of the way because of manatees in the water.

Christmas 2006

The girls had a great Christmas and got quite a haul! Delannie got a Nintendo DS Lite and an Easy Bake oven. We have had a great time making cakes and stuff!

Amelia got lots of Princess gear and Ariel stuff. And a big tub of Legos that are now in time out since mom stepped on one!! They both got new ice skating dresses.

The Ice Princesses

The girls love their ice skating so much. Amelia likes to play and have fun with the other girls, but Delannie takes it very seriously. She loves learning new things and advancing her ranking.

This is their first lesson in March 2006.
